Senior Lecturer in International Business, Birkbeck, University of London

Neil Pyper is Senior Lecturer in International Business at Birkbeck, University of London. He is a specialist in international business strategy, and is especially interested in emerging markets.

He has particular expertise on country risk in Latin America. This comes from some 20 years' experience as an analyst and consultant. He continues to write frequently on the region for the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), Oxford Analytica and others.

Neil is the co-author of the textbook Technology Strategy, which was published by Red Globe Press in 2019. He has also published papers the area of strategic foresight, particularly scenario analysis. In addition, he has a strong interest in business school pedagogy. He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
