Senior Lecturer in History, Australian Catholic University

Nell Musgrove is a social historian and a Senior Lecturer in History at Australian Catholic University, Melbourne. She has been conducting research in the field of welfare history for over a decade and has numerous publications, including her first book, "The Scars Remain: A Long History of Forgotten Australians and Children’s Institutions" (Australian Scholarly Publishing, 2013) which is the first national history of institutional care for children in Australia in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Her second book, co-authored with Dr Deidre Michell is titled "The Slow Evolution of Foster Care in Australia - Just Like a Family?" and was published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2018.
