Nicholas Kawa, Ph.D. is Assistant Professor of Anthropology at the Ohio State University. His research centers on questions of human-environmental interaction with specific focus on human relationships to plants and soils. He is author of the recent book Amazonia in the Anthropocene: People, Soils, Plants, Forests (University of Texas Press, 2016).
