Associate Professor in History, Australian Catholic University

I specialise in the history of marginalised social groups in twentieth century Australia, especially Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and LGBTI Australians. I am the co-author (with Richard Trembath) of 'Defending Country: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Military Service since 1945' and author of 'Defending Whose Country? Indigenous Soldiers in the Pacific War'. I am currently conducting projects on LGBTI military service since the Second World War and the history of transgender Australians.
