Senior Research Officer, Human Neurotransmitters Laboratory, Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute

Dr Straznicky is a clinical researcher at Baker IDI Heart & Diabetes Institute. Her research program investigates the mechanisms contributing to sympathetic nervous system dysfunction in obesity and the benefits of weight loss, exercise and drug treatments. She has degrees in pharmacy, public health, and a PhD in clinical pharmacology. Her research has been funded by Diabetes Australia, the Heart Foundation, the Bennelong Foundation, Future Forum and the National Health & Medical Research Council of Australia.
