I am a specialist in obstetrics and gynaecology. My interest in endometriosis and adenomyosis started during my training in Istanbul, which led me to start a research degree at Oxford. My DPhil research focuses on the genetic basis of endometriosis and adenomyosis to determine the differences between these two highly comorbid conditions. Additionally, I aim to expand the ethnic diversity of available datasets in endometriosis and adenomyosis research by including Eastern Mediterranean populations with a focus on Turkish Cypriot and Turkish populations.
