Olayinka Adegbite

PhD candidate, University of Pretoria

Olayinka Adegbite is a PhD Candidate at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. She has co-authored two policy briefs for USAID’s Feed the Future Food Security Policy for Innovation Lab, University of Pretoria as a research assistant for agricultural financial policy for food systems transformation. She is also a PhD intern at the University of Washington, United States and a Robert S. McNamara Fellow. In addition, she is a senior research officer at the National Horticultural Research Institute, Nigeria. She obtained her Master of Science degree in Agricultural economics and Bachelor of Agriculture (B.A) degree in Agricultural economics from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. Her research focus is agricultural and rural financial inclusion of smallholder farmers, policy development and addressing disparities in sub groups like gender to promote an inclusive agricultural transformation and sustainable development.
