Olga Koppel is a PhD Candidate in Biology at the University of Ottawa, focusing on how climate and land use change impact bumblebee survival, with the ultimate aim of improving biodiversity conservation. Koppel's work has been featured in media worldwide including in The Independent, Scienmag, Phys.org, and featured as a guest scientist on several podcasts. Koppel is an active advocate for science-based policy, science outreach, and equity in STEM. She has co-authored pieces for iPolitics, Hill Times, McGill Daily, and Biomatters Magazine.
