Oliver Patel

Oliver Patel is a Research Associate at the UCL European Institute. His research focuses on the political, legal and constitutional aspects of the Brexit process, particularly from the perspective of the EU. He has published widely on Brexit and related topics, focusing on the technical aspects of withdrawal. His research also focuses on data protection, GDPR and UK-EU data flows post-Brexit.

Oliver is also the Manager of the UCL European Institute, and has previously worked for the UCL Constitution Unit, Nesta and the House of Commons in a range of policy and research roles. He obtained an MSc in Philosophy and Policy from LSE.
