An early career researcher, Oliver undertook a BSc in Biochemistry at the University of Sussex, gaining valuable research experience through a competitive summer studentship funded by The Genetics Society. This led to his subsequent decision to undertake a PhD, in RNA translation and degradation, at Brighton and Sussex Medical School. Following this, Oliver has worked as a postdoctoral research fellow, working on RNA-protein interactions, at the University of Surrey, and now as a postdoctoral research fellow working on RNA translation and degradation at Brighton and Sussex Medical School.
