Olutobi Akingbade

Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Centre for the Advancement of Non-Racialism and Democracy (CANRAD), Nelson Mandela University

Dr Olutobi Akingbade is currently a Vice-Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for the Advancement of Non-Racialism and Democracy (CANRAD) at Nelson Mandela University.

His research focus examines the intersection of journalism and various forms of media with frames of public health communication and questions of social justice, democracy, and citizenship in sub-Saharan Africa. He completed his Master’s and Doctorate degrees at Rhodes University’s School of Journalism and Media Studies.
