PhD Candidate in Space History, UCL

I’m a PhD student working on the history of British space science working with UCL and the Science Museum, and I’m based in London. I am currently affiliated with the Centre for Outer Space Studies.

I graduated with an MPhys from the University of Manchester in July 2018; I picked up where I left off by doing an MSc in Science Communication there. Along the way, I’ve researched how scientists use Kerbal Space Program for public engagement and contributed to dark sky protection advocacy in Indonesia.

I’m also a writer, editor and general outreach-type person. I talk to people about physics and maths, including contributing to Skymania News and Popular Astronomy magazine, as well as hosting the Sound of Astronomy podcast.
