Pamela Scott Bracey

Dr. Pamela (Scott) Bracey is currently an associate professor in the Department of Instructional Systems and Workforce Development at Mississippi State University (MSU) where she has taught in business technology-related undergraduate programs, and Instructional Technology graduate programs since 2013. In this role, Dr. Bracey has been awarded multiple prestigious state, regional, and national awards for excellence in teaching, in addition to several other local awards related to her benevolence and community dedication. She also served as the director and co-founder of MSU’s Global Academic Essentials Teacher Institute, and director of MSU’s Bulldog Bytes GenCyber Teacher Cybersecurity Camp.

With instructional experience on both secondary and post-secondary levels, Dr. Bracey is a devoted advocate of the inclusion of relevant career preparation in education, and bridging the employability skills gap between academia and the workplace. Since her former tenure as a middle school teacher, she has conducted training workshops with educators and presented research to stakeholders related to business and technology education on local, state, national, and international levels. She is a member and officer of several professional organizations, and a published author of several journal articles, book chapters, and conference proceedings. Dr. Bracey graduated from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas with a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Applied Technology and Performance Improvement, with a minor in Gifted and Talented Education. She also earned a Master of Science degree in Higher Education Administration from Mississippi College, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Technology Education from the University of Southern Mississippi.
