Multimedia journalism instructor Patrick Howe has worked as an investigative reporter and political correspondent in Washington D.C. and statehouse newsrooms. His work has appeared in dozens of newspapers, magazines and websites including U.S.A. Today and Washingtonpost.com. He wrote about Congress and the Clinton White House for the Arkansas Democrat Gazette and covered politics and government for The Associated Press. He has won state and national-level awards for investigative reporting, public affairs reporting, column writing and layout and design. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a dual major in journalism and political science and earned his Master's Degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia. His research has focused on the effects of advertising on news.
