Science Program Manager, Climate Science Alliance, University of California, San Diego

Paula received her B.S. in aquatic biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. While there, she aided in research on California kelp forest ecology through the Santa Barbara Channel LTER and began her research on Mexican desert mangroves as part of her involvement in the Gulf of California Marine Program. In 2017 Paula completed her M.A.S. in Climate Science and Policy from Scripps Institution of Oceanography, where her research focused on the impacts of sea-level rise on cultural resources in Puerto Rico. Today, Paula serves as the Science Program Manager at the Climate Science Alliance, an organization dedicated to safeguarding natural and human communities in the face of a changing climate.
