Pedro Belda Ferre

Dr. Pedro Belda Ferre is an Assistant Project Scientist in the Knight Lab, at the University of California San Diego. Microbes living within our bodies play an important role in human physiology, and several diseases have been linked to microbial dysbiosis. How modern lifestyle influences the human microbiome and health is one of his main interests. He has been involved in projects aimed to develop microbiome-modulating strategies for caries disease and food allergies, using different molecular, bioinformatic and animal model methodologies.
