Peter Anthony Eglin

Professor Emeritus of Sociology, Wilfrid Laurier University

From 1976 to 2016 I was employed as a professor at WLU in sociology. I am an author or editor of six books (two co-written, two co-edited), seventeen chapters and twenty-two articles, including The Montreal Massacre (WLU Press, 2003), A Sociology of Crime (Routledge, 2nd ed. 2017), both with Stephen Hester, and The Global Citizenship Nexus: Critical Studies (Routledge, 2020, with Debra D. Chapman and Tania Ruiz-Chapman), plus more than a few op-eds for newspapers. I was a Humboldt Fellow at Universitat Konstanz in 1980-81. The Montreal Massacre book was nominated for the Innis Prize in 2004 (but did not win!). Impending ecological and social armageddon is driving me mad. I am committed to stopping it.
