Professor of International Business, Auckland University of Technology

Professor Peter Enderwick is a specialist in the field of International Business and during his academic career has undertaken consultancy work for the United Nations, the American Chamber of Commerce (NZ) and the New Zealand Treasury. His research interests - globalization and labour, service sector multinationals, large emerging markets (particularly China and India), and the competitiveness of small, open economies – have led to him authoring ten books and numerous chapters and articles in professional journals. His extensive business knowledge makes him a valuable member on editorial boards for journals including the International Business Review and Transnational Corporations .

Professor Enderwick has held visiting positions around the globe including time at the Helsinki School of Economics and Business, Finland, and the University of Bradford Management Centre, England - where he gained his MBA and PhD. He has taught in Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand and China and is currently a Visiting Professor at Leeds University in England. He spent 16 years as Professor of International Management at the University of Waikato before taking up his position as Professor of International Business at AUT.

Professor Enderwick is a member of the Academy of International Business and a founding member of ANZIBA (Australia and New Zealand International Business Academy).
