Pierre Clément

Pierre Clément initially taught and did researches in Animal Biology, then in Didactics of Biology, mostly in the University Lyon 1 (France), but also in Algeria, Tunisia, Lebanon, Senegal, Morocco, Denmark and Sweden. He is member of the board of IOSTE (International Organization for Science and Technology Education), as representative of Mediterranean countries. He co-organized the Conference ESERA 2011 in Lyon. He was co-responsible of the Biohead-Citizen European research project (Biology, Health and Environmental Education for better Citizenship, 2004-2008). He is now retired but still invited researcher in the University Aix-Marseille (France). He mainly extends to new countries (a total of 34 today) the Biohead-Citizen research on teachers’ conceptions of evolution, human genetics, sex, health and environmental education. He is author or co-author of > 150 articles in Journals and 400 chapters, published communications or books.
