Lecturer in Criminology, Birmingham City University

Dr Piotr Godzisz is an interdisciplinary researcher with a background in political science and criminology. He holds a PhD from the University College London and an MA from the University of Warsaw. He is engaged in research, training and advocacy on hate crime and human rights issues across Europe and has worked for institutions and organisations such as the OSCE, Warsaw University, the Estonian Centre for Human Rights and the Polish police. He was the principal investigator of two transnational research projects funded by the European Union - Call It Hate (2017-2019) and Come Forward (2016-2018). He is currently a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellow at Université Libre de Bruxelles and a Lecturer in Criminology at Birmingham City University.
