Dr. PK Senyo is a digital technology researcher at the Department of Decision Analytics and Risk within Southampton Business School. PK’s research focuses on how the use and adaptation of new digital technologies impact individuals, organisations, and society. PK utilises a wide range of methodologies such as quantitative, qualitative, design science, and qualitative comparative analysis (QCA).
His current research interests include financial technologies (FinTech), Financial Inclusion, Platform Ecosystems, Emerging technologies (e.g., Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Cloud Computing, and Big Data), ICT for Development, and Digital Innovation. PK’s other research interests include Food Fraud Prevention, Reverse Logistics, Product Returns, Circular Economy, and Supply Chain Sustainability.
He has obtained over £570,000 in research income from councils such as Innovate UK, ESRC, and UKRI. PK regularly consults for private and public organisations on digital technology projects.
PK’s research has been published in leading journals such as Technovation, Technological Forecasting & Social Change, Government Information Quarterly, Information Technology & People, among others as well as prestigious conferences such as the Academy of Management, and the International Conference on Information Systems. PK also serves as Associate Editor and track co-chair for international conferences and holds editorial roles at several international journals.
