Project Manager, MRC Lifecourse Epidemiology Centre, University of Southampton

Preeti Dhuria is a public health nutritionist, registered with the Association for Nutrition. She works as a project manager at the Medical Research Council Lifecourse Epidemiology Centre at the University of Southampton. Her research in the WRAPPED study examines the impact of creating an expanded fresh fruit and vegetable section near the store entrance on women’s purchasing and dietary patterns.
Preeti’s PhD is mapping retailers’, consumers', enforcers' and health group perspectives on the Food Regulations 2022, aiming to create retail layouts supportive of health. Her research aims to provide insights into benefits, concerns, motivations, intended and unintended consequences of this landmark legislation and highlight future policy refinements to improve the food environment.
