PhD Student, Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, Brock University

My name is Rakha Zabin. I am a graduate student enrolled in the Joint Ph.D. Program in Educational Studies. My field of specialization is Leadership and Policy Studies, and my home university is Brock University. I pursued my Master of Education at Brock University in 2019. After its completion, I decided to pursue a doctoral degree to further explore the different aspects of education. For my M.Ed., I chose the Major Research Paper (MRP) pathway, and I successfully completed my MRP: The Role of Emotional Intelligence in Ontario University Educational Policies for International Graduate Students: A Conceptual, Institutional, and Auto-Ethnographic Analysis - http://hdl.handle.net/10464/14468

I worked as an Advanced Educational Development Intern at Brock University during my M.Ed. program where I assisted in the development of global educational resources accessible for the educators to promote the UNESCO ICT CFT 2030 framework and share further recommendations for its feasibility and sustenance. I worked as a Research Assistant for two research projects for the Human Rights and Equity and the Faculty of Education at Brock University. I worked as a Teaching Assistant for the course titled “Introduction to Foundations of Education” at Brock University for this past academic year. I am currently working as a Research Assistant and as an Advanced Educational tutor at Brock University. I hold another Master in TESOL and a Bachelor of Arts in English majoring in Linguistics.
