Assistant Teaching Professor in Integrated Social Sciences, University of Washington

I am currently an Assistant Teaching Professor in Integrated Social Sciences program and the Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies at the University of Washington. I received my Ph.D. in 2019 from the Department of Development Sociology at Cornell University. I specialize in environmental sociology and Southeast Asian Studies and have worked as a curriculum developer for the Food and Agricultural Organization and for the International Studies Department at Ohio University. From 2013-2016, I worked as the Associate Director of the American Institute for Indonesian Studies (AIFIS) and from 2017-2018 as the Managing Director of the Southeast Asia Program at the University of Washington. My research interests include environmental justice, the politics of natural resource access, Indigenous rights, gender, food systems, and participatory mapping.
