Reiner Rugulies

Reiner Rugulies is a Professor of Psychosocial Work Environment and Health at the National Research Centre for the Working Environment, Copenhagen, Denmark. He is also Adjunct Professor of Psychosocial Medicine, Section of Epidemiology, Department of Public Health, Copenhagen University, Denmark, and Editor-in-Chief of the Scandinavian Journal of Work, Environment and Health. He received a PhD and a Master of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Bielefeld, Germany, and a Master of Public Health degree from the University of California, Berkeley, USA. His main research interests are the psychological and social determinants of health and illness, in particular with regard to mental disorders, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and work disability. He is further interested in designing, implementing and evaluating occupational health interventions and in examining how working conditions contribute to health inequalities.
