Originally a Bostonian, I have been a high school teacher on the west coast of Vancouver Island, a museum educator at the Royal BC Museum, and biodiversity and parks bureaucrat in the BC Ministry of Environment. Since 2003, I've been at Royal Roads University where I initiated an MA program in Environmental Education and Communication.
