I am originally from Minnesota and have lived in Colorado and Virginia before moving to Mississippi to take my current position on the faculty of Mississippi State University. During the course of my education, I have worked in greenhouses in Minnesota, California, Denmark, and Switzerland. My current responsibilities include teaching and research in Floriculture and Ornamental Horticulture. I teach Plant Growth and Development, Floral Crop Programming, and Nursery Management. My research interests are in the area of commercial production of herbaceous and woody ornamental plants with an emphasis on flowering and environmental effects on growth and development.
