Dr Robert Clarke lectures in the English Studies Program, School of Humanities, University of Tasmania. He is the author of Travel Writing from Black Australia: Utopia, Melancholia, and Aboriginality (Routledge 2015) and editor of Celebrity Colonialism: Fame, Power and Representation in Colonial and Postcolonial Cultures (Cambridge Scholars, 2009), and The Cambridge Companion to Postcolonial Travel Writing (CUP, 2016).
