PhD researcher in Volcanology, UCL

I completed my BSc in Geophysics at the University of Edinburgh in 2008, before volunteering for 3 months with the United States Geological Survey at the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory.

Following my MRes in Physics of the Earth and Atmosphere at Leeds, I began my current PhD at UCL, where I study the lavas of Mount Etna volcano, Sicily.

On top of my studies, I have begun an interest in popular (i.e. non academic) science writing; recently, I have been contributing to the LiveScience.com website.
