Professor in Psychology, The Open University

I am a Professor of Psychology and Associate Dean of Research at the Open University in the UK. My research looks at the boundaries around identity - particularly gender and political identities. I have published on women's activism, health, mothering as well as the role and politics of methodology in psychology. My current research explores how young women make sense of and curate their identities on and off line. I am also interested in the history of psychology - in particular the history of feminist psychology in the UK. I was co-editor of the journal Feminism & Psychology from 2013 to 2021 and chair of the Psychology of Women & Equalities Section of the British Psychological Society from 2020 to 2021
