Senior lecturer, University of Stirling

Dr Saihong Li is a Senior Lecturer in Translation Studies at the University of Stirling, specialising in interdisciplinary digital humanities translation and cross-cultural studies.

She was awarded a PhD at the University of Copenhagen (Denmark) in 2019. Her doctoral research focused on comparative studies in Translation and Lexicography, working with English, Chinese, and Danish. Dr Li has particular expertise within the areas of the arts and creative industries and cultural institutions, e.g., creative tourism, food and literary translation. Dr Li has produced a substantial body of research including monographs, book chapters, and refereed journal articles. Her research expertise in respect of food, tourism, and political discourse translation has been cited in the creative industries, the hospitality sectors, as well as in international reports relating to the creative industries and tourism in their post-Covid recovery globally.

She is a co-editor of Perspectives: Studies in Translation Theory and Practice (Taylor & Francis) and is a reviewer for the AHRC and for several journals and publishers such as Routledge and Benjamin’s.
