Samantha Le Sommer

I am currently a post doctoral fellow investigating the role of PTP1B in the induction of tolerogenic dendritic cell responses in the context of Experimental Autoimmune Uveitis in the lab of Prof J V Forrester. Using molecular and in vivo approaches in preclinical EAU models we are investigating if inhibition of PTP1B is, in principal, a viable treatment for uveitis. My fellowship is funded by Saving Sight in Grampian and the University of Aberdeen Development Trust.
