Samantha Parsons is a research officer at the Department of Quantitative Social Science at the Institute of Education's Centre for Longitudinal Studies.
Much of Sam's research experience has involved working with two of Britain's longitudinal birth cohorts, the 1958 National Child Development Study (NCDS) and the 1970 British Cohort Study (BCS70). Her primary research interests are the antecedents and consequences of poor adult basic skills, social exclusion and socioeconomic disadvantage.
