I obtained PhD Degree in Political Science with specialisation in International Political Economy of Trade from University of Lagos, Nigeria. Prior to that I had a Masters Degree (Cum Laude) in Political Science from the same University and a Bachelors (Honours) Degree in Political Science from University of Ilorin, Nigeria. I was previously a Visiting Scholar at Brown and Northwestern Universities in United States of America, respectively. I was an Associate Professor at the Thabo Mbeki African Leadership Institute (now Thabo Mbeki School of Public and International Affairs) University of South Africa until 2021. I am a rated researcher by the National Research Foundation of South Africa and currently an Assistant Professor at the Institute of African Studies, Carleton University, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
