Dr. Sarah Abbott is an associate professor based in the Department of Film at the University of Regina. Her research focuses on the sentient, sensory relations of trees, plants and nonhumans in general though interdisciplinary frameworks including public/multispecies/eco ethnography, Indigenous ways of knowing, ontological emergence, plant science, interspecies communication, and filmmaking practice. Her teaching areas include film production, sentient ecologies, ethnographic practice, and climate change.
