Sarah is a qualified Speech and Language Therapist with a PhD exploring social support post stroke. Sarah was awarded the Stroke Association Jack and Averil (Mansfield) Bradley Fellowship Award for Stroke Research which enabled her to lead the SOFIA study, investigating a psychological therapy for people with aphasia (https://blogs.city.ac.uk/sofia/). She is also co-investigator and led the qualitative evaluation of the SUPERB Trial investigating peer befriending for people with aphasia, funded by a Stroke Association Priority Programme Award (https://blogs.city.ac.uk/superb/).
