Dr Sean Roberts received his PhD from the Centre for Russian, European & Eurasian Studies (CREES), University of Birmingham (UK). Prior to taking up his post at the University of Portsmouth, he worked as a Senior Research Fellow on the EU’s Eastern Neighborhood Programme at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs in Helsinki.
His research interests include most aspects of post-Soviet politics, but in particular post-Soviet party and electoral politics, domestic political developments in Russia and Russian foreign policy. His most recent research has looked at post-Soviet regionalism and the development of the Eurasian Economic Union.
