Seth Winberg

Rabbi Seth Winberg serves as Brandeis Hillel's Executive Director and as Brandeis' Senior Chaplain.

He earned a BA from York University and an MA in Medieval Jewish History from Yeshiva University. He was ordained by leading rabbis in New York and Jerusalem after many years of study.

Before coming to Brandeis, Seth served at the Chicago Hillels and at Michigan Hillel. Under his leadership, the Chicago Hillels opened the first Base Hillel outside of New York and received the Phillip H. and Susan Rudd Cohen Outstanding Campus Award, the highest honor given by Hillel International.

His writing has appeared in The Forward, JTA, The Boston Globe, The Jerusalem Post, The Chicago Sun-Times and Hakirah.
