Shannon Majowicz

Associate Professor, School of Public Health Sciences, University of Waterloo

Dr. Majowicz is an infectious disease epidemiologist, whose primary research focus is foodborne infections in Canadian and international contexts. Before joining academia, she spent a decade conducting surveillance and research with Health Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada, including during H1N1. Her public health experience fostered an interest in tools that improve the use of evidence in public health decision making, particularly those that allow multiple or competing perspectives.
