Shira Lurie

I am the University College Fellow in Early American History at the University of Toronto where I teach in both the History and Canadian Studies Departments. With the support of a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada Doctoral Fellowship, I completed my PhD in American History at the University of Virginia in 2019. I have written pieces for the Journal of the Early Republic, The Washington Post, The Toronto Star, Inside Higher Ed, and Nursing Clio. I have appeared as a guest on BBC Radio, CBC Radio, CBC News, and CTV News.
