Simon Bishop is a global public health academic with an interest in tropical infectious diseases. He is currently the Director of Medical Education at the School of Medicine at Anglia Ruskin University in the United Kingdom.

Simon holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the School of Medicine at Manchester University and a PhD in Public Health from Lancaster University. Simon has a particular interest in the relationship between communicable disease and health inequalities, and supervises PhD students from around the world using qualitative approaches to better understand disease risk and prevention.

In addition to his research interests, Simon has a strong pedagogic background. He has developed and led a number of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across several UK universities and is a Senior Fellow of the HEA/AdvanceHE.
