Spencer K. Monckton

PhD Candidate, Biology, York University, Canada

I am an entomologist studying the systematics and biogeography of Hymenoptera (sawflies, wasps and bees). My PhD research focuses on the taxonomy, diversity, and biogeography of a group of native sawflies found all across North America, many of them in far northern regions. I coordinate and teach general entomology and biodiversity labs at York University, and have written several articles about insects for The Canadian Encyclopedia.
