Stephanie Baines

Lecturer in Psychology, Bangor University

I investigate the neural processes underlying human behaviour. In particular, I focus on motivational and reward processing, and nutritional neurosciences. I am interested in how we integrate different sources of information, such as current sensory input (including delivery of taste stimuli), expectations, learned associations and memories to drive choices, decision-making, and actions. In addition, I investigate how individual differences in factors such as reward sensitivity, eating behaviour (e.g. restrictive, external or emotional eating), and dietary goals affect the relationship between perception and behaviour.
