Steven David Hitchcock

Steven is a Lecturer in Work-Integrated Learning at the University of Sydney Business School. Steven works across the design, development, and delivery of experiential programs in the Business School such as placements, practicums, and study tours.

Steven’s research centres around the experiences, narratives, and identities of students in higher education and young professionals in the workforce. Steven's primary stream of research examines the discourse of, and practice surrounding, aged and generational narratives in the workplace. Steven’s second stream of research focusses on teaching and learning design in higher education.

Steven received a Graduate Certificate in Educational Studies (Higher Education) at The University of Sydney in 2020 and became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in 2018. Prior to joining The University of Sydney in 2016, Steven was a Graduate Associate at The Hugh Downs School of Human Communication at Arizona State University where he received his PhD in Organizational Communication. Steven received a Master of Management Studies (Hons 1) from The University of Waikato in 2012 and a Bachelor of Communication Studies (Hons 1) from The University of Waikato in 2010.
