Sudirman Nasir is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Public Health at Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas) in Makassar. He is also the head of Centre of Excellence of Interdisciplinary and Sustainability Sciences, Unhas School of Graduate Studies. Currently,
he is a senior fellow in Australia-Indonesia Centre (AIC) and Partnership for Australia-Indonesia Research (PAIR). He graduated from Unhas School of Medicine and obtained his master and PhD at School of Population and Global Health, the University of Melbourne, Australia. He was a fellow in Asia Leadership Fellow Program, Japan (2017) and a visiting scholar at Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, UK (2018). Additionally, he was a founding member of the Indonesian Young Academy of Sciences or ALMI (2016 - 2021) and an Eisenhower Fellow (Global Program, 2019) in the US.
