Sylvia Moore, PhD, is an educator, mental health professional, and associate professor at Memorial University's School of Arctic and Subarctic Studies. Her Mi’kmaw family’s roots are in southwestern Nova Scotia but she is based at the Labrador Campus, which is on the homelands of the Innu and Inuit. Sylvia’s community-based research is in the areas of Indigenous-led education and decolonizing/Indigenizing education at all levels. She was the Atlantic Co-Lead for the National Centre for Collaboration in Indigenous Education, the Faculty of Education lead for the Inuit Bachelor of Education and the Master of Education Labrador Cohort, and a member of the University of the Arctic's Verdde Network.
