Tamra Burns Loeb

Adjunct Associate Professor, Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences, University of California, Los Angeles

Over the past two decades, I have collaborated with a team of experienced behavioral science researchers and clinicians in the UCLA Center for Culture, Trauma, and Mental Health Disparities. We develop novel strategies to assess trauma, discrimination and other types of adversity, their context, and their relationships to health and mental health outcomes among communities throughout the United States and in South Africa. I was recently awarded a grant to assess COVID-19 related experiences in Black and Latinx HIV-seropositive individuals in Los Angeles, California through the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine COVID-19 Research Award Program.
