I am currently in my third year of my PhD at Avignon University my lab is the Mediterranean Institute of Biodiversity and Ecology, France). I study the above - and below - ground effects of an ecosystem engineer (Messor barbarus, a granivorous ant) on the soil physico-chemical properties, and plant and fauna communities and it's use in ecological engineering to restore Mediterranean dry grasslands.
