Equity and Diversity Education Manager, Western Sydney University

Tatiana heads up the Equity and Diversity education projects at the University of Western Sydney. Her interest lies in human rights education and how transformative education can be used to challenge prejudice. Her work involves developing education opportunities that allow people to understand prejudice and unpack their own assumptions and actions. Recently, Tatiana has been working in the area of racial equality and bullying prevention using a range of platforms including workshops, social media and art based events like film festivals. She comes to the area of education having worked as a community lawyer and educator in NSW and the Northern Territory. Tatiana finds working through education on social change more challenging and satisfying than seeking resolution or change through the legal system.
