Ted Lechterman (Ph.D. Princeton; A.B. Harvard) is a political philosopher and applied ethicist who studies how democratic ideals apply to private and artificial agents. Currently a research fellow at the Institute for Ethics in AI at University of Oxford, he has held previous fellowships at the Hertie School in Berlin, the Centre for Advanced Studies Justitia Amplificata at Goethe University Frankfurt, and the McCoy Center for Ethics in Society at Stanford University.
