Ted Lechterman is a postdoctoral fellow at Justitia Amplificata, a Centre for Advanced Studies at Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany. A political theorist, his research concerns how democratic ideals apply to economic practices. He is working on a book manuscript on how the practice of philanthropy both conflicts with, and supports, democratic values. He holds a Ph.D. in Politics from Princeton and completed postdoctoral work at the McCoy Center for Ethics in Society at Stanford.
